Storm Damage Response, July 30

Town staff and contractors have assessed and are responding to the damage from this weekend's severe storms.  

Numerous trees have fallen in Town, and many have taken down power lines. PEPCO must address fallen trees on power lines, and the Town has notified PEPCO of all such cases.  The Town's tree maintenance contractor has been in Town removing other fallen trees and debris from Town streets.  Trees that have fallen on private property are the responsibility of the homeowner.

According to PEPCO's outage map, there are two active power outages in Town -- one on Oak Lane affecting 12 households and the other on Ridge Street affecting fewer than 5 households.  Both outages are pending assessment by PEPCO, which is not able to provide a restoration time.
