Residents Responsible for Clearing Sidewalks of Snow

Since today's precipitation is a light, dry snow that has not accumulated to 6 inches, the Town's contractor will not clear sidewalks. Residents are responsible for clearing sidewalks adjacent to their homes within 24 hours after precipitation has ended. This is a vital responsibility, as the Town frequently receives complaints about residents who do not clear packed snow and ice from their sidewalks, creating dangerous conditions.

We encourage residents to use the private Town Neighbors listserv to seek help or offer assistance with snow removal.
