See How the Bethesda Market Park is Shaping Up!

Revised Park Design Presentation, June 18, 7 p.m., Zoom

On Tuesday, June 18 at 7 p.m. via Zoom, the Parks Department will present the revised design for the Bethesda Market Park. This updated plan incorporates public feedback from last year’s community meetings, an online community survey, and a Town resident survey. The revised design includes amenities, such as a water feature, shade/stage structure, dog runs, and a multi-generational play area. These amenities can be realized only if additional funding for the park is provided, in accordance with the financial plan that the Town presented in May. This plan calls for an additional $5 million for the parks, with the Town contributing $3 million of that amount.  

Residents are encouraged to participate in the virtual meeting, review the revised plan, and submit comments to the Town Council by June 30. The Town Council will review all feedback, with the intention of discussing and potentially voting on a resolution regarding additional financial support for the project at the July 10 Council meeting.
