Please Respect the Town’s Permit Parking Rules The Town reminds residents and their guests to follow the Town’s permit parking regulations. In recent months, the Town office has received numerous complaints about illegal parking, especially on the west side of Town near Elm Street Park and Trader Joe’s. In response, the Town has increased enforcement of its permit parking rules. For full details on the Town’s permit parking rules, please visit bit.ly/TOCCParking.
Important Reminders: -- Residents are responsible for their guests. If you live in a permit parking area, please ensure your guests display a valid guest pass. Residents may request up to two guest passes, as well as replacements, by contacting the Town office. -- Service and delivery vehicles are exempt. The Town’s permit parking restrictions do not apply to clearly identifiable service or delivery vehicles that are actively providing services or making deliveries to homes in permit-restricted areas. -- Planning a gathering? Let us know. If you are expecting multiple guests, please notify the Town office in advance so we can inform our enforcement officers and temporarily suspend ticketing during your event. -- Citations cannot be voided once issued. Once a citation is submitted by an officer, the only options are to pay the fine or contest the ticket in court. If you believe a citation was issued in error and can provide proof that a valid parking decal or guest pass was displayed in the ticketed vehicle, please contact the Town office. Thank you for helping ensure that residents in permit-restricted areas have access to parking near their homes. With continued development in downtown Bethesda, this issue is expected to persist, and your cooperation is greatly appreciated.
