Street Paving Scheduled to Begin Monday, November 3

The Town’s paving contractor is scheduled to resurface the 3900 block of Leland Street, most of the 3900 block of Woodbine Street, and a portion of Meadow Lane near the intersection with Woodbine and Leland Streets, beginning Monday, November 3, weather permitting. The work is expected to take 3–4 days. If inclement weather prevents work on a given day, the schedule will shift accordingly.

During paving operations, portions of the roadway will need to be temporarily closed during the workday, and driveway access may be blocked as work progresses. Vehicles left on the street during work hours will be towed locally. The contractor will maintain a travel lane whenever possible and will fully reopen the street at the end of each workday in each affected block.

Concrete Repairs
The Town’s concrete contractor is repairing sidewalk sections along East West Highway between Meadow Lane and Chatham Road. The sidewalk will be closed as needed during the work. Pedestrians should use the sidewalk on the north side of East West Highway or detour through Town via Meadow Lane and Chatham Road.

A map of the roads to be paved and alternative parking areas is available here.
