Can you recycle your pizza box? How about those cardboard juice cartons with the plastic pouring spout? Can you throw napkins into the compost bin? With single stream recycling and composting available to all, do you ever find yourself asking: Where does all of this go? Am I discarding things in the right container? And what happens after it gets picked up at the curb?
The Climate and Environment Committee would like to “talk trash” with you. We have planned an informative session to answer these questions and any others you care to ask. You'll hear from Jordan Garfinkle of Waste Management Inc., where all of our recycling goes, and from Ryan Walter of Compost Crew.
