Bethesda Downtown Plan Public Meeting
Tuesday, December 9, 7 p.m., Town Hall
What’s at stake with the current rewrite of the Bethesda Downtown Plan? Imagine 180 foot tall buildings along Wisconsin Avenue down to Bradley Lane. Imagine thousands of additional residential units and their impact on local schools and traffic. And imagine the loss of a buffer area adjacent to the Town, with apartments or townhomes right up against 46th Street and West Avenue. These are just some of the things developers want to see in a future Bethesda. Do you?
Montgomery County’s planning staff is finalizing the first step in trying to meld various visions for Bethesda. Come and hear what they are currently thinking at an informational meeting for Town residents on Tuesday, December 9 at 7 p.m. This is an important opportunity to get the facts so that you can voice your opinion directly to the decisionmakers as the process continues. Learn also about what the Town’s involvement in the process has been to date and help shape our official positions moving forward.
