Virtual 4th of July Celebrations
Family & Declaration of Independence Videos
As a community, and as a Town, we have a lot to be thankful for this 4th of July. Although we may remain physically distant, we can celebrate what connects us by recording what the 4th of July means to you. Scout Troop 255 video experts will combine your recordings into videos to share on our social media and the Town listserv.
If you want to be a part of the Declaration of Independence video, you must respond to Wicca by June 6 via email wicca@wiccadavidson.com [mailto:wicca@wiccadavidson.com] or 301-980-5596. The directions and lines will be emailed out to all readers.
For the Family Videos, all you have to do is follow the directions below:
Find a good place to film (natural light is best). It could be your backyard, your living room, your driveway, or wherever is safe and comfortable for you and your family. Please be aware of your surroundings.
Get a recording device. You may use a camera, cellphone, or other recording device. Your video should be recorded HORIZONTALLY. Make sure the video sound is clear.
What to include in the video: Wear the flag colors if you have them, give greetings to your neighbors and community members. You can dance, sing, wave hello, or give your kind words during this troubling time. Be sure to say “Happy Independence Day!”
Videos should be no longer than 30 seconds
Place your video in this Dropbox folder before June 12 [https://www.dropbox.com/request/foeXDRcOLRmcw8uHaKiR] !
