Bring Us Your Ideas -- and Help -- For Online Events
We all realize that we will need to continue to follow strict protocols during this coming winter, in our efforts to contain the COVID-19 virus. That is all the more reason for us to find ways to sustain our feeling of community in our Town. The Community Relations Committee and the Town Council are therefore eager to sponsor a series of online events that residents can join -- events that give us the opportunity to learn, laugh, share and be in touch with each another.
Some ideas have already surfaced: online “Discussion and Desserts,” with speakers from the Town, or from outside the Town and invited by a resident to talk to us; a wine-tasting event where participants have the bottle in hand for a talk by a sommelier; a presentation of art, music or dance from BCC students who could use us as their audience; a virtual Yappy Hour -- perhaps with your dog dressed for a holiday occasion; online bingo; and a puppet show for kids.
Please give us your ideas -- both general topics and specific suggestions of individual speakers or organizations whom you believe would be good candidates for these events. We would also welcome help from residents who are not on the Community Relations Committee in organizing these events, so please let us know if you can assist us. We hope to have broad interest in this forum, but please note that even a small event can be very successful if those attending have found it interesting and fun.
Please send your ideas to Wicca Davidson at wicca@wiccadavidson.com. We look forward to hearing from you!
