WSSC Night Work -- Wisconsin Avenue & Stanford Street
WSSC Water will be making repairs to its system as part of the Little Falls and Rock Run Basin Sewer Rehabilitation Project. To assist with reducing impacts to traffic on Wisconsin Avenue during the day, WSSC Water will be conducting night work to complete certain construction activities. This work will take place intermittently from Sunday, March 7, 2021 through Friday, April 30, 2021, weather permitting.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Work Hours: Sundays-Thursdays, 9 p.m.-5 a.m. Construction can be unpredictable, therefore work may extend beyond the core hours occasionally. No work will take place on weekends.
Lane Closures: Motorists are encouraged to plan ahead as lane closures will cause delays in the 6800 block of Wisconsin Avenue during working hours. Safety cones and signs will be in place to keep the work zone safe.
Additional Noise: The use of generators, pumps, pipe saws and large construction vehicles will be needed to complete this work. As a result, residents will notice a significant increase in noise during working hours.
Water and Sewer Services: Customers should not lose water or sewer service as a result of this work. Should you experience any changes in your service, please report it to WSSC's Emergency Call Center at 301-206-4002 or emergencycallcenter@wsscwater.com [mailto:emergencycallcenter@wsscwater.com] .
Access to homes and businesses will be maintained at all times.
