The Bethesda Sector Plan is a complex issue with significant potential impacts for Montgomery County, Bethesda and our Town.

The Town Council recently voted to approve a position statement, which is posted on the Town’s Web Site, on potential development of the public parking lots adjacent to the Town as part of the Bethesda Sector Plan. Council member Fred Cecere presented the Town’s position to the Planning Board. The Planning Board will hold two more work sessions on the Bethesda Downtown Plan before sending it to the County Council for approval in late November.

The Long Range Planning committee and Council liaison Fred Cecere have asked Tricia Daniels and Grant Davies, Co-Chairs of the Long Range Planning Committee, to hold a workshop on November 3rd, 7:00 – 8:30 in the Town Hall to discuss the Bethesda Sector Plan, the implications to the Town and our Town’s related initiatives.
