In early January, the Town Council will hold two work sessions to discuss several priority issues.
On January 6, the Council will meet to discuss proposed changes to the Town’s Urban Forest Ordinance and proposed changes to the Town’s Buildings Ordinance. The first discussion will focus on reducing the burden on Town residents who wish to remove a canopy tree on their property. The second discussion will focus on expanding the types of variance requests that may be processed administratively and allowing for the construction of certain retaining walls without a variance.
On January 11, the Council will meet to discuss the Town’s current financial situation and possible mid-year budget cuts to reduce the anticipated deficit for FY16.
Both work sessions will be held in the Town Hall beginning at 7 p.m. Residents are welcome to attend and listen to the discussions; however, there will not be an opportunity for public comment. You may submit comments on any of these issues to the Town Office at 4301 Willow Lane or by email to townoffice@townofchevychase.org [mailto:townoffice@townofchevychase.org] .
