The Town Council is currently discussing and developing the Town’s operating and capital budgets for the 2018 fiscal year, which begins on July 1, 2017 and continues through June 30, 2018.  On Wednesday, March 22, the Council will hold a work session to review the proposed budget that the staff and Treasurer have prepared.  Another discussion of the budget will occur at the April 17 Council meeting, at which time residents will have an opportunity to speak on the budget during the public comment portion of the meeting. There will also be a public hearing on the final proposed budget at the Annual Meeting on May 2, before the Council adopts the budget at the May 10 Council meeting.

As part of this process, we want to hear from you!  The Town Council welcomes public comments from residents now about next year’s budget and about which new or ongoing initiatives they would like to see funded.  Recognizing that not everyone is able to attend evening Council meetings, the Town Council gives equal consideration to written testimony submitted to the Town Office and to oral testimony given at a public hearing.   Residents are thus encouraged to submit written suggestions and/or to share your comments at one of the upcoming Council meetings.

We look forward to hearing from you.
