Utility Work Update
-- Next week, WSSC is hoping to connect the new water main on Beechwood Drive to the water mains on adjoining streets.  The Town has reached out to WSSC to make sure work around Beechwood Drive will resume without further delays.  

Next week, Washington Gas will install new gas mains in the 4300 block of Rosemary Street and the 4300 block of Willow Lane.  The work on Rosemary Street is scheduled to begin on Monday. The work on Willow Lane is scheduled to begin on Wednesday, unless there are unexpected delays.  On Friday, the contractor plans to begin saw cutting on 45th Street in anticipation of gas main replacement on that street. Washington Gas will also continue to make new house connections on streets where new gas mains have been installed.

Beginning on Monday of next week, road resurfacing will done on Rosemary Circle, Hillcrest Place, and the portions of Stanford and Rosemary Streets adjacent to Rosemary Triangle.  This work is expected to take 3 to 4 days.

Notice for Road Closures on Maryland 355, Between Bethesda Avenue and Norfolk Street-- Beginning at 9 p.m. on Saturday, August 19, Carr Properties will close three northbound lanes and one southbound lane of State Route MD-355 (Wisconsin Avenue) between Bethesda Avenue and Norfolk Avenue for the move of a historic building (7250 Wisconsin Avenue). The Community Paint and Hardware building is being moved to a new location on Middleton Lane. The road closure will end at 6 a.m. on Sunday, August 20. Middleton Lane shall remain open and accessible to all local residential traffic. You can view more information about the project here.
