Utility Work Update
--  Next week, WSSC will complete the installation of new water mains on 44th Street.  The contractor will not work on Monday.

Washington Gas will install a new gas main on Connecticut Avenue tomorrow, weather permitting.

Thank you for your continued patience during the ongoing utility work. The Town will provide frequent updates on the utility work via the Town Crier.  Please contact the Town Office at
townoffice@townofchevychase.org or 301-654-7144 if you have any questions.

Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Monday, January 15 -- Town office closed. Household trash and yard trash will be collected as scheduled.

Seriously Fun Singers, Town Hall, Sunday, February 11, 4 to 6 pm --  SFS began three years ago when two friends in Town were looking to sing popular and “fun” music in a small group setting.  They organized SFS, recruiting many like-minded, musically-talented Town residents. SFS performs programs of eclectic popular music. The concert will offer a blend of 60’s pop, traditional folk, and some Broadway standards, with a special focus on LOVE (Valentine’s Day is on the 14th!).  Refreshments will be served. Space is limited, so RSVP to the Town office by calling 301-654-7144 or emailing townoffice@townofchevychase.org

Winter Outerwear Clothing Drive, continues until February 28 -- The Town’s Community Relations Committee, working with the Lawton Community Center, is collecting clean, gently-used or never used warm coats, gloves, mittens, scarves, hats, sweaters, pants and socks to donate to local charities serving those in need.  Clothing boxes for your donations are in the Town Hall (Monday thru Friday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.) and the Lawton Community Center (Monday thru Thursday from 9:30 a.m. to 9 p.m.; Friday and Saturday from 9:30 to 5 p.m.; and Sunday from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.).
