State Legislature District 18 Candidates Meet & Greet

This year, there are 10 Democrats, one Republican and one Green Party candidate running for three State Delegate spots and one State Senate spot in District 18.  Come hear from and meet those running Wednesday night, June 6th, 7-9 pm in the Town Hall.  Of those running, all will be at the event with the exception of Jeff Waldstreicher, Democratic candidate for Senator (who can’t get out of a previous engagement), and Jon Cook, Green Party candidate for Delegate (who was invited but did not respond).

Here are some of the issues addressed in the 2018 LEGISLATIVE SESSION – If any of these hit close to home for you, come and hear from the candidates on the issues that matter to you most.  Bring your questions too!

Amazon headquarters incentive package; breweries; State budget; Commission to Restore Trust in Policing; community college tuition; crime reduction; Education Trust Fund; election cybersecurity; estate tax; financial consumer protection; gaming revenue for education funding; gay conversion therapy prohibition on minors; gun control; health insurance rates stabilization; higher education affordability; highway user revenues; income tax; Metrorail safety & funding; minimum wage; opioid addiction; paid sick leave policy; police wiretapping authority; Presidential tax returns; public safety; public transportation; puppy mill breeders; regional greenhouse gas initiative; renewable energy; school construction funding oversight; school safety; sexual assault evidence collection tracking system; sexual harassment; social media political ads; sports betting; union contracts; workplace harassment.
