Utility Work and Concrete Repair Update
Next week, WSSC will continue work on Tarrytown Road and in the 4300 block of Thornapple Street.
The Town’s concrete contractor is scheduled to make concrete repairs on 44th Street, 45th Street, and Leland Street.

Chevy Chase Fire Department Open House
Saturday, October 13, 10 a.m. - 3 p.m., 8001 Connecticut Avenue
The Chevy Chase Fire Department is holding its annual Open House on Saturday, October 13, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The Open House will feature:
• Fire Engine rides for children and adults
• Safety House slide
• Demonstrations by members of specialized teams
• Fire Helmets, tattoos, and balloons for children
• Hot dogs and cokes for all
Sign-Up for the Flu Clinic!
Wednesday, October 17, 4 – 7 p.m., Town Hall
• Adventist HealthCare will administer flu shots on Wednesday, October 17 from 4 to 7 p.m.
• Shots will be administered to anyone nine years of age and up.
• The cost for the standard vaccine for those without Medicare Part B is $30.
• There is no charge if Medicare Part B is your primary insurance.
• Cash and checks (payable to LifeWork Strategies) are accepted.
• A high dose vaccine ($47) is available for persons 65 years of age and older.

The Town Council Work Session on Non-U.S. Citizen Voting Eligibility, originally scheduled for Monday, October 15, has been rescheduled to Monday, October 22 at 7 p.m. in the Town Hall.
Trash & Treasures Rescheduled

Boo! Family-Friendly Halloween Event
Sunday, Oct 28, 2:30-4:30 p.m., Town Hall
Join other families as children decorate small pumpkins (no carving) and trick-or-treat bags. Snacks and juice for the children; wine, beer (and snacks) for the adults. Dress for a hands-on craft experience. Paint, stickers, and markers will be plentiful. This is a first-time Halloween event sponsored and run by the intrepid Community Relations Committee. Adults must stay with their children during the event. RSVPs required to ensure adequate supplies.

Purple Line Construction Update
Weekend Work at Bethesda Work Zone (Elm Street)
The project will be working on Saturdays in October at the Bethesda Work Zone on Elm Street, continuing excavation efforts between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m.
