Political Signs in the Public Right-of-Way
Residents are reminded that the Town Code prohibits the placement of signs, including political signs, in the public right-of-way. The public right-of-way is the area of land generally located between the street and a sidewalk or extending approximately six feet behind the curb if there is no sidewalk.
If you have placed a political sign in the right-of-way, as described above, please move it onto your private property. Any signs remaining in the right-of-way after 3:00 tomorrow afternoon will be collected by the Town and placed near the door of the home.
Please contact the Town Office at 301-654-7144 if you have any questions.
