Utility Work and Concrete Repair Update

Next week, WSSC will continue work on Tarrytown Road and in the 4300 block of Thornapple Street.  

The Town’s concrete contractor is scheduled to make concrete repairs on East Avenue and Stanford Street.

Sign-Up for the High Dose Vaccine Flu Clinic
Monday, October 22, 3 – 6 p.m., Town Hall


The high dose flu vaccine for persons 65 years of age and older will be available at a flu clinic on Monday, October 22 from 3 to 6 p.m. in the Town Hall.  In addition to the high dose vaccine, the flu clinic administrators will have regular flu shots on-site for those who could not attend Wednesday's clinic.  We are asking participants to choose a time slot to receive their shot.  Time slots are available at 5-minute intervals from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.   Cash, check, and Medicare Part B will be accepted as payment.

Spots are filling up quickly so please contact the Town Office at townoffice@townofchevychase.org or 301-654-7144 as soon as possible to reserve your time slot. 



Council Work Session on Non-U.S. Citizen Voting Eligibility

The Town Council Work Session on Non-U.S. Citizen Voting Eligibility will be held Monday, October 22 at 7 p.m. in the Town Hall. 


Trash & Treasures Rescheduled


The Town's Trash & Treasures event will be held the weekend of October 27 and 28. Click here for more information.  



Boo! Family-Friendly Halloween Event 
Saturday, Oct 27, 2:30-4:30 p.m., Town Hall

Come join other families as children decorate small pumpkins (no carving) and trick-or-treat bags on, Saturday, October 27 from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m.  Snacks and juice for the children; wine, beer (and snacks) for the adults.  Dress for a hands-on craft experience.  Paint, stickers, and markers will be plentiful.  This is a first-time Halloween event sponsored and run by the intrepid Community Relations Committee.  Adults must stay with their children during the event.  Only a few spots are left so be sure to RSVP soon!  Those who RSVP after the event has reached capacity will be placed on a waiting list.

Purple Line Construction Update

The project will be working on Saturdays in October at the Bethesda Work Zone on Elm Street, continuing excavation efforts between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m.

On Saturday, October 20, 2018, crews will begin work to construct new underpasses at the Columbia Country Club from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Weekend work will continue through October and November.

On Sunday, October 21, 2018, crews will perform electrical work on Elm Street to support the Bethesda Shaft construction.
