Trash & Treasures Update

Due to the inclement weather forecast for this weekend and a conflict with early voting at the Lawton Center, there will be several changes to the Town's Trash and Treasures event.  Curbside bulk trash pickup will take place next Monday, November 5.  Please do not put any items out until the afternoon of Friday, November 2.

The collection and donation trucks will still collect items this Saturday, October 27 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.; however, the location has changed due to early voting at the Lawton Center.  Document shredding and electronics recycling trucks, along with the various donation vans, will collect items in the Chevy Chase Elementary School drop-off lane on Hillcrest Place.  Book donations will not be accepted on Saturday; instead, you can bring them to the Town Office next week, October 29 to November 2, between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m.

Please contact the Town Office at 301-654-7144 with any questions.

Family Movie Night – “UP”
Friday, November 2, 6 p.m., Town Hall

Family Movie Night is back!  Friday, November 2 at the Town Hall.  Join the Community Relations Committee for the screening of “UP.”  Ed Asner stars as the irascible senior citizen who ties thousands of balloons to his home, taking flight with an excitable 8-year-old stowaway.  Rated PG.  89 min.  Come at 5:30 for pizza, snacks, and juice.  Movie starts at 6 p.m.  All children must be accompanied by a responsible adult.  RSVP to townoffice@townofchevychase.org or by calling 301-654-7144.

Purple Line Construction Update

During weekends in October and November, crews will be working to construct new underpasses at the Columbia Country Club from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Due to varying rock conditions, blasting may be utilized in the Bethesda Shaft location between October 24, 2018, and November 11, 2018, between the hours of 5 a.m. to 8 p.m. Blasting is not planned on weekends or holidays. Additional notification prior to the blasting activity will be provided.

New Farmers Market Opens in the Neighborhood
