Utility Work and Concrete Repair Update

Next week, there will be no utility or concrete work in the Town.

Thanksgiving Holiday
November 22-23


Town Office closed.  Household trash will not be collected on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, November 22, but will be collected on your next regularly scheduled trash day. 



 Leaf Collection 

Leaf collection will continue through mid-December.  For more information, including a leaf collection schedule and map, please click here.



Family Movie Night – “UP”
Friday, December 7, 6 p.m., Town Hall

Family Movie Night is back!  Friday, December 7 at the Town Hall.  Join the Community Relations Committee for the screening of “UP.”  Ed Asner stars as the irascible senior citizen who ties thousands of balloons to his home, taking flight with an excitable 8-year-old stowaway.  Rated PG.  89 min.  Come at 5:30 for pizza, snacks, and juice.  The movie starts at 6 p.m.  All children must be accompanied by a responsible adult.  RSVP to townoffice@townofchevychase.org or by calling 301-654-7144.

Purple Line Construction Update

Crews will be working on Saturdays in November at the Bethesda Work Zone on Elm Street, continuing excavation efforts between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m.

During weekends in November, crews will be working to construct new underpasses at the Columbia Country Club from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. 

Due to varying rock conditions, blasting will occur in the Bethesda Shaft location the week of November 26, between the hours of 5 a.m. to 8 p.m.  Prior to each blast, a siren will be used as a safety precaution for workers within the work zone.
