Town residents are invited to join the County's Department of Environmental Protection for a workshop on Thursday, March 27 to learn about the County’s RainScapes Program and how Town residents can participate. The workshop will be held from 7 to 8:30 p.m. in the Town Hall.
The goal of the RainScapes Program is to reduce the negative effects of uncontrolled stormwater runoff. Through this program, you can receive technical and funding assistance to design and install landscaping techniques and water harvesting projects on your property. At the meeting we will review an evaluation of RainScape potential in the Town, and rebate opportunities will be explained. More information about this program is available on the Town website [http://www.townofchevychase.org/Calendar.aspx?EID=146&month=3&year=2014&day=21&calType=0] .
Please RSVP to the Town Office at 301-654-7144 or townoffice@townofchevychase.org [mailto:townoffice@townofchevychase.org] . This event is sponsored by the Town's Climate & Environment Committee and Community Relations Committee.
