Participate in the 2019-2020 Budget Process

The Council will hold a work session on Wednesday, March 20 to review the proposed budget that the staff and Treasurer have prepared.  There will be a public hearing on the final proposed budget at the Annual Meeting on Tuesday, May 7 before the Council adopts the budget at a subsequent meeting.

Throughout the budget development process, the Town Council will consider suggestions from residents about what projects they would like to see funded.  Please email your suggestions to townoffice@townofchevychase.org.

Rye Whiskey Tasting
Sunday, March 24, 4-6 p.m., Town Hall

We drank Bourbon last year, and are ‘coming to the Rye’ this year.  If you want to be one of the 40 people attending, then do not wait to RSVP.  Join fellow rye lovers for a guided tasting led by an expert, who will pour and discuss the history of rye, where it is made and how.  As you taste a range of ryes from inexpensive to expensive, our guide will explain variations and nuances of each bottle.  Savory foods will be served.  RSVP now to 301- 654-7144 or townoffice@townofchevychase.org.

Don't Miss the Town's Progressive Dinner on April 13!
Deadline for Sign Up is March 29

Here's how it works:

From 6:15-7:15 join your neighbors at the Town Hall for drinks and hors d’oeuvres.  Receive your dinner and dessert “assignments” (two homes in the Town).  Proceed to your dinner location and enjoy a meal with 8-14 neighbors/new friends from 7:30-8:45.  “Progress” to your dessert location at 9 where neighbors from two dinner groups will be assembled.

We have ample dinner and dessert hosts and chefs for the entrées but there is still space for attendees.  (This event is for adults only.)  Avoid the last-minute rush and disappointment of the event being “sold out” (there is no charge!) by contacting the Town Office at 301-654-7144 or townoffice@townofchevychase.org.

The Town’s Community Relations Committee is bringing you this event with the significant assistance of the Centennial Committee which is sponsoring the opening celebration at the Town Hall.

Spring Trash and Treasures 2019

Help Us Build A Centennial Time Capsule!

In honor of the Town's Centennial, we are creating a Time Capsule and need your help.  The Town Centennial Committee will have a box at the Town Hall to collect potential Time Capsule items and ideas. Drop off photos, stories, newspaper articles, etc., that reflect the spirit of the present day.  Make sure to include your name, phone number, or email address.   Questions? Call 301-654-7144 or email us at townoffice@townofchevychase.org.
