Montgomery County Pedestrian Master Plan Meeting
Wednesday, October 16 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Bethesda-Chevy Chase Regional Services Center
Montgomery County is developing a Pedestrian Master Plan. A kick-off meeting will be held on October 16, 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Bethesda -Chevy Chase Regional Services Center, 4805 Edgemoor Lane.
The purpose of the plan is to make Montgomery County more pedestrian friendly. It will prioritize needed infrastructure and recommend new and amended policies and operational practices, design standards and programming.
If you can't make that meeting, there are others scheduled at other locations later in October and November. Click here for more information.
You can also participate by telling the planners what walking in Montgomery County is like for you. They're asking residents to post pictures, videos and narratives of their walking experiences on the Planning web site. Go to the above link and click on "Walking Here" on the right-hand side of the page under Quick Links to get the instructions.
