Please use 'Lotsa Helping Hands' -- Let's be Safe Seniors

Dear Neighbors,

Wicca Davidson has now set up a website that will help streamline requests for help in shopping and offers to volunteer to shop for others.  Please see the following link: https://my.lotsahelpinghands.com/community/residents-of-town-of-chevy-chase/home.  It’s easy to sign up and use.  Wicca set up this resource for those who find themselves in need of a few items, and for volunteers who are going to the store and are willing to pick up some additional items for residents.  If, however, you have need of steady assistance, please contact Wicca directly at 301-980-5596 or at wicca@wiccadavidson.com.

I would also like to re-emphasize my message of a week ago:  we seniors should do everything we can to avoid shopping ourselves.  We are not more at risk of being infected than others, but we are more at risk of getting very ill -- and using precious medical services -- if we are infected.  The number of confirmed cases in Montgomery County is, as I write this, 388, and is increasing by 40 to 50 cases per day.  We have not yet bent the curve.  We must all do our part.  If you need help shopping, please use our volunteer service.  And many, many thanks to Wicca and all the volunteers who are helping seniors, and others who need help, to stay safe.
