"Bring Climate Solutions Home" Online Panel Discussion
April 30, 5-6 p.m.

Each year on April 22, the world comes together in an effort to drive positive action for our planet.  Today, on the 50th Anniversary of Earth Day, we in the Town have the opportunity to reflect on the current state of our world and commit to building a better tomorrow.

On Thursday, April 30 from 5 to 6 p.m., the Town Climate & Environment Committee will host an online "Bring Climate Solutions Home" panel discussion.  It will feature some Town residents discussing hyperlocal solutions for home gardening, home energy, recycling, urban food gardening, and other sustainable techniques that make a difference!
To join this panel discussion, visit https://us02web.zoom.us/j/84416982135 or call 301-715-8592.  The meeting ID is 844 1698 2135.

Also, we hope that today you can join the Earth Optimism Digital Summit (
https://earthoptimism.si.edu) hosted by the Smithsonian Institution.  The digital summit runs from April 22 to April 26 and you can watch live broadcasts online on the Earth Optimism website.  More than 100 global leaders will share successful conservation strategies being deployed worldwide and discuss how to mainstream these strategies to achieve transformative change.

While the coronavirus pandemic has brought so many challenges and uncertainties, it presents everyone with a chance to reflect on our past experiences and prepare ourselves to make positive differences through our future actions.
