Neighbors, come out from hibernation on Sunday, March 8 to hear the nationally acclaimed Simple Gifts. Streets are plowed. Temps will be in the 40s. The sun will be out.
Join us for a lively concert at 4 pm of Irish jigs, American reels, Gypsy melodies and Scandinavian twin fiddling. The sounds of mandolins, dulcimers, recorders, banjos, and Turkish drums will fill the Town Hall with musical tradition and innovation. Afterwards, meet the instruments. Simple Gifts will explain where they are from, how they work and the diverse cultures they represent. Enjoy cider and goodies with your neighbors.
An added treat, become an instant musician at 3 pm when Simple Gifts teaches Town residents (children ages 8 and up and adults) how to play the ukulele. You’ll be the opening act to their 4 pm concert!
