Green Town Series: May Day/Arbor Day Celebration - Valuing Our Oaks

The Climate & Environment Committee (CEC) will host a short, socially-distanced event (pandemic conditions permitting - 100 attendees or less) to celebrate Arbor Day with an Oak tree planting at 11 a.m. on May Day (Saturday, May 1).  The event will be held at Lee Dennison Garden/Zimmerman Park and will include the reading of a Town Arbor Day Proclamation by Mayor Baskir, some other brief comments, and a celebration of the importance of trees, especially oak trees, and native plantings.

If you would like to attend, please RSVP to townoffice@townofchevychase.org, so we can track the number of attendees.
