At its July 8 meeting, the Town Council held a public hearing on continued funding for Purple Line assistance. Following the hearing, the Council agreed to ask the Town’s Long Range Planning Committee (LRP) to develop a matrix outlining issues and options, and to seek advice and guidance from members of the Town‘s Purple Line Mitigation Advisory Group. Council also asked staff to monitor developments related to the Purple Line over the next two months and to inform Council of any information or events that may need to be acted on by the Council before it meets again in September. If the Council needs to deliberate on, or respond to, any events that may occur, every effort will be made to schedule a regular Council meeting. If not possible, the Council will need to deliberate and/or agree to take certain actions via email. Information on deliberations or decisions by email will be made publicly available. At its September meeting, or at a specially scheduled work session, the Council will review the matrix developed by the LRP and will seek resident input, which will be used to formulate the Town’s position going forward. All Council decisions and actions will be announced in the Town Crier and in the Forecast newsletter. Further discussions and reviews will be held over the course of 2015-2016, and residents will be notified accordingly.
