On August 4, the Town will hold a Purple Line Review Work Session to discuss various issues related to Town efforts in continuing to respond to the planned Purple Line light rail project.
At this work session, Mayor Lang, Councilmember Fred Cecere, liaison to the Town's Long Range Planning Committee (LRP), and LRP co-chairs Grant Davies and Kathie Legg will review and discuss the status of the Purple line project; the matrix of issues and options developed by the LRP; any additional information and updates that the Town may wish to obtain from local, state and federal agencies; ongoing environmental litigation; and next steps, including further discussions and reviews to be held over the course of the next year.
Residents are invited to attend this work session, which will be held at 4:30 p.m. in the Town Hall; however, there will not be an opportunity for public comment. At its September meeting, or at a specially scheduled meeting, the Council will seek resident input on the Town's plans related to the Purple Line project, and this feedback will be used to formulate the Town's position going forward.
