Movie Night for Families -- Friday, November 13, 6 p.m., Town Hall. Toy Story 1 is the featured flick at Movie Night. Toy Story was the first feature-length, computer-animated film and the first theatrical film produced by Pixar. It was released by Walt Disney Pictures in 1995 and it is now widely considered by many critics to be one of the best animated films ever made. Showtime is 6 p.m. Pizza drinks, & popcorn will be available. Space is limited, so please RSVP at 301-654-7144 or by email to townoffice@townofchevychase.org. Parents must accompany their children throughout the movie. 

Winter Outerwear Clothing Drive -- November 1 - January 31. The Town’s Community Relations Committee, working with the Lawton Community Center, is collecting clean, gently-used or never used warm coats, gloves, mittens, scarves, hats, and heavy sweaters, pants, and socks to donate to local charities serving those in need. Clothing boxes for your donations are in the Town Hall (Monday thru Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.) and the Lawton Community Center (Monday thru Thursday from 9:30 a.m. to 9 p.m., Friday and Saturday until 5 p.m. and Sunday from 1 to 5 p.m.)

7th Annual Thanksgiving Dinner Baskets -- Sponsored by the Town of Chevy Chase, B-CC High School, and the Lawton Community Center. Here’s how you can help! Drop off/mail a check payable to YMCA-YFS starting November 1 through November 20 to the Town Hall (4301 Willow Lane, Chevy Chase, MD 20815), Monday through Friday from 9 am to 5 pm. All donations welcome!
  • $25 purchases a turkey
  • $50 purchases groceries
  • $75 purchases an entire Thanksgiving dinner.
Drop off/mail a gift food card from Giant Food or Safeway to the Town Hall. All donations welcome!

Drop by the Town Hall on Saturday, November 21 from 1 to 3 p.m. to assemble or decorate dinner baskets. All Town residents are welcome and will be put to work!

Stage Kiss at Round House Theatre -- Join your friends & neighbors for an evening at the Round House Theatre on Thursday, December 10 at 7:30 pm. The play, Stage Kiss by MacArthur Fellowship recipient Sarah Ruhl, follows two actors with a past, cast as romantic leads in a 1930’s melodrama, who, as events unfold, begin to blur the line between the stage & real life. We’ll gather at 7:15 pm in the patron’s lounge at the theater before the show for distribution of tickets. There will be a post-show discussion, which all are welcome to join. Round House is at 4545 East-West Hwy, 1 block from Wisconsin Ave. The price of discounted tickets is $30. Please RSVP at 301-654-7144 or by email to townoffice@townofchevychase.org. Organized by the Community Relations Committee.
