Martin Luther King, Jr. Day Holiday -- Monday, January 18. Town Office closed.

Winter Outerwear Clothing Drive -- November 1 - January 31. The Town’s Community Relations Committee, working with the Lawton Community Center, is collecting clean, gently-used or never used warm coats, gloves, mittens, scarves, hats, and heavy sweaters, pants, and socks to donate to local charities serving those in need. Clothing boxes for your donations are in the Town Hall (Monday thru Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.) and the Lawton Community Center (Monday thru Thursday from 9:30 a.m. to 9 p.m., Friday and Saturday until 5 p.m. and Sunday from 1 to 5 p.m.).

Re-Gifting Party -- Here’s your chance to re-gift that “ugly sweater”, the slippers that don’t fit, or anything else that isn’t quite what you hoped to receive. Join your neighbors for a fun White Elephant party! Wrap an unused or new present, save the date of Sunday, January 24th 4-6 PM and come prepared for a laughter-filled evening where you will have the chance to (hopefully) bring home the gift you want! Please RSVP to the Town Office at 301-654-7144 or townoffice@townofchevychase.org so we have enough wine and food.
