Town Logo
On July 21st, the Montgomery County Planning Board approved the Bethesda Downtown Plan and transmitted it for consideration by the County Council. The Plan will have a significant effect on the quality of life of Town residents, and there will be an opportunity at the County Council to advocate for changes that will make the Plan better. The TOCC Special Committee on the Bethesda Downtown Plan has been working to develop the Town's strategy for addressing the Plan before the County Council.

UPCOMING EVENTS:
• Early Sept. – Look for an insert in or a special edition of the Forecast with an overview of the Plan, questions, and options being considered for the Town’s statements and actions at the upcoming County Council Public Hearing (likely in October).
• Sept. 8th (Thursday, 7 pm) Neighborhood Community Meeting to review and discuss the Plan.

The full version of the Bethesda Downtown Plan may be accessed here.
