Next week, WSSC will begin installing house connections on Stanford Street. Affected residents have been notified.
Washington Gas will continue to make individual house connections to the newly installed mains, and will continue to install new gas mains on Stanford Street west of Oakridge Avenue.
The Washington Gas paving contractor intends to start replacing the temporary asphalt that is backfilled into the excavated trenches with the permanent base asphalt beginning the week of November 14. This work will be disruptive and will require temporary road closures and parking restrictions. No parking signs will be posted on streets in advance of this work being done. This will provide a solid foundation for the roadways in anticipation of final repaving to be done at a later date.
