Utility Work Update --  WSSC is working to bring the new water mains into service.  Next week, they will be installing new services on Oak Lane and finishing the connection at Oak Lane and Leland Street.
 
Washington Gas will continue to make new service connections, mostly on Stanford Street, and will begin to install new gas mains on East Avenue north of Stanford Street.

21st Annual Holiday Buffet for Seniors and Retirees --  Join friends and neighbors at the 21st annual Holiday Buffet for Town Seniors and Retirees on Wednesday, December 14 at noon in the Town Hall.  While you feast on a delicious meal, you will have a chance to visit with old friends and meet some new ones. Please RVSP by 5 p.m. on December 12 to townoffice@townofchevychase.org or 301-654-7144.


Brighten the Holidays for Domestic Violence Victims and Their Children -- The Town’s Community Relations Committee is again sponsoring the Holiday Gift Drive for County victims of domestic violence and their children (victims/witnesses). Town residents have been very generous in the past, and we hope you will be once again this year.  There are three ways you can help:
 
Gifts cards in $10 to $25 denominations are preferred for such stores as Target, Marshalls, Kohl's, Ross, Giant, or Sears.  But checks made out to the Montgomery County Family Justice Center will also be accepted.  Please bring the cards/checks to the Town Office, or put them through Ann Wild's mail slot at 7104 Oakridge Ave.  Important: Be sure to include your name and your e-mail address on the envelope so you can receive a donation receipt.  Deadline for donations is Friday, December 16.

Finally, if you prefer to "adopt" a family and purchase specific items for them, contact Cathy Wolf at wolfcs@starpower.net
