The Town of Chevy Chase Book Club will next discuss A Complicated Kindness by Miriam Toews, a celebrated Canadian writer. It centers on a 16-year-old working in a chicken slaughterhouse in a Mennonite village in Manitoba, navigating her fractured family. Droll and bittersweet. We will meet on March 30 at 7 p.m. in the Town Hall.
